The First Three Months of Marriage Continued

Here is the rest of our pictures sorry there are a lot

Shortly after Christmas we got together with some of my roomates from college where we got to catch up on all our news and spend some time together again. I hope that it is a tradition we can continue as I love them all so much!

here we are at the dinner table (note the invitation of boys this year)

We also had Amanda and Russ over to our house to make grahm cracker houses a first for everyone, and my frosting didn't turn out too bad!

And here is our snowman Ethel. Sadly there is not much left of her now, but she was a good use for our pine boughs we had to lop off the bottom of the tree.

Here we are on our first Christmas morning together!! I love Mike so much and we
have so many blessings to share with each other!

Oh and here is the tree!

We spent Christmas Eve with Mike's family and exchanged gifts. The mouse trap game was a big hit Thanks Jan!

We also really enjoyed Super Saturday at Mom and Dad's! (We missed you KayLyn and Nate!)

The Hevenly Hosts

One really fun tradition that Mike's family has is a game of lazer tag around Christmas, and then a dollar store gift exchange. We only looked slightly suspicious hiding merchandise under our arms and wandering around the dollar tree trying to not be seen by the others. Oh . . . and about the lazer tag . . . I may have come in last, but I did have the best accuracy!!

One of my favorite memories of this Christmas season is going with Mike and his sister Lacey to a live nativity here in Alpine. It was pretty amazing including Roman soldiers on horseback and camels. It is amazing to think what it would have been like to be there and walk the road to Bethlehem.

Mike also took me on a fun date to temple square to hear the Mormon Tabernacle Choir Concert and see the lights

Here we are decorating sugar cookies with Grandma & Grandpa Chamberlain, we feel so blessed to be able to be living in their home at this time

Cutting down our Christmas Tree

And over Thanksgiving weekend Mike got to play some football in the 5th Annual Slaughter Chili Bowl. Mike even got rewarded the Offensive MVP for his sweet skills on the field with 8 catches for 150 yards and 2 touch downs.

The First Three Months of Marriage

So why have we not updated our blog? Well of course we have been having too much fun!
So here are the pictures of all of it. Sorry there are so many, but well, the catch-up game has begun.

Mike and I have the privilege of living with his grandparents in beautiful Alpine Utah where we see deer in the backyard, get to shovel a very long driveway, and in the fall we got to rake the leaves, and jump in them!

For Halloween we hosted the first annual Balser halloween party, including hanging tootsie pop ghosts from the ceiling, making homemade rootbeer, and decorating sugar cookies. The couple on the left are friends of Mike's from high school, Blake and Michelle Steele. Not to be confused as a couple the two in the middle are his 19 year old sister Lacey and his 14 year old brother Danny. And of course us . . .

They wanted me to take a picture with our kitchen since the gas stove we use is from the 1950s :)

And to begin the festivities, we carved pumpkins and gourds (yes Mike is holding a tree saw . . . no he did not loose any fingers)

One of our first dates being married was to go to Hee-Haw's corn maze and barn activities. We were the only ones there and got to have all the fun, even though it started snowing while we were in the corn maze.

I think Mike is pretty cute when he drives a mini-tractor!
